Barry hepatitis A clinics: final dates are 11 and 12 September

The final hepatitis A vaccination clinics at Barry Hospital are on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 September, Public Health Wales says. There is no clinic on Thursday 10 September. The programme is free and no appointment is needed.

Public Health Wales reported on 10 September that 1,000 children had received a vaccination in the Barry outbreak response. It says the programme ends on Saturday 12 September.
Children aged 1 to 5 qualify if they live in Barry or attend a school, nursery, childminder, playgroup or other childcare setting there. Children living in Barry remain eligible if they go to school elsewhere; visiting the town alone does not qualify.
The clinic is at Barry Hospital, CF62 8YH. The current notices do not give opening hours for the remaining dates. Check before travelling by calling the vaccination team on 02921 841234. The team can also answer questions about previous doses.
Update, 10 September 2026: added the vaccination total reported by Public Health Wales and the remaining clinic dates. Removed earlier opening hours, which have not been confirmed for these dates.
Correction, 3 September 2026: an earlier version said the Barry hepatitis A clinic ran only to Saturday 5 September. Public Health Wales has added clinics on 7, 8, 9, 11 and 12 September, and none on 10 September.
