Sources

Every story on this site names its sources at the foot of the page, with a link to each one. We report from primary sources: the body that published the figure, the court that heard the case, the club that confirmed the signing, the operator that closed the line. Another news organisation reporting something is a reason for us to go and check it, not a source we cite.

Numbers carry the provider that supplied them, one provider to a page, and a figure we have worked out ourselves says so. Where the record does not give us something, the story says that too rather than filling the gap.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, tell us and we will fix it in the piece and date the correction at the bottom of it. We do not quietly edit a mistake away. How we source and correct our reporting is set out in our ethics and corrections policy, and the address for both is desk@cover.wales.
