Cardiff City FC Community Foundation reports a 21.7% rise in participants in its 2025/26 impact report and plans a youth employment hub at Cardiff City Stadium. The club’s official charity lists 17,712 unique participants, up from 14,549 in 2024/25. It launched the report alongside an annual event at the stadium on 30 September.

People and attendances are different measures

The report records 172,645 attendances, compared with 156,926 a year earlier, a rise it puts at 10%. That larger total counts attendances across activities, rather than the number of separate people reached. Its work spans seven local authorities, with 18,977 delivery hours across 150 venues. The charity describes education, health and community programmes, including support for families affected by disability and activities for older people.

Reported unique participants: 14,549 in 2024/25 and 17,712 in 2025/26. The report includes a forecast-data caveat.

Where the work takes place

The foundation says half of its delivery locations were in the 30% most deprived areas of Wales, accounting for 70% of delivery hours. Its deprivation analysis covers 149 physical locations and excludes 482.5 hours of online delivery, which cannot be assigned to a geographical area. That describes where activities took place. It does not establish that every participant lived in a deprived area or measure how much an individual’s circumstances improved.

The caveats behind the figures

The report’s finance page labels its accounts unaudited. A separate note on that page says the 2025/26 figures use forecast data because final participation numbers were unavailable when it was published. The report should therefore be read as the charity’s account of its reach, rather than a final independently verified measure of outcomes.

A planned route into work and training

For 2026/27, the foundation plans a Youth Employability Hub at Cardiff City Stadium, supported by a Department for Work and Pensions contract. It says the hub will help young people outside employment, education or training access those opportunities. The report does not give an opening date or application criteria for the hub.
