The 2025-26 signing has made 19 first-team appearances for the club. He will remain available for selection throughout December and says he hopes to go out on a high.

From Sale to Cardiff

Nott, who was born in Bodelwyddan, came through the Sale Sharks academy and made 41 appearances for the English club after his debut in 2017. He joined London Irish in 2019, then spent three seasons at the Dragons before moving to the Welsh capital.

What the club said

Head coach Corniel van Zyl, who worked with Nott at London Irish, called him a top professional and a role model, and said he leaves with the club's full blessing. Van Zyl said Nott had a great run of games last season but has struggled with injuries this year, which made the decision easier.

Cardiff are looking to recruit another second-row to replace him. Nott thanked the club for letting him pull on the jersey and said he would give his all every day in December.
