Two public drop-in sessions in Llandudno will let residents discuss the revision of Wales’s National Development Framework, with the national consultation open until 20 November. Conwy Council’s notice, published on 15 October, lists events at Venue Cymru on Thursday 22 October from 6pm to 8pm and Friday 23 October from noon to 2pm.

How to take part

The venue is on the Promenade, Llandudno, LL30 1BB. The council says people can drop in during either session and asks prospective attendees to register their interest through its linked expression-of-interest form, including questions in advance. Anyone unable to attend can respond through the Welsh Government consultation page before the 20 November closing date. That page also lists email and postal response options.

What is being consulted on

The Welsh Government consultation began on 19 August. It covers a draft Statement of Public Participation, a draft National Conversation Engagement Plan and the role the revised framework should play in meeting Wales’s needs. This stage concerns how the national planning framework is developed and how people take part. The drop-in announcement does not approve individual housing schemes, transport projects or new planning permissions.
