Ospreys change 12 starters as Wright and Giles lead against Lions

Ospreys have changed 12 starters for the United Rugby Championship visit to Lions on Saturday 3 October, with Liam Wright and Keelan Giles named co-captains. Comparing the club’s two confirmed starting selections, Wright, wing Tom Rogers and full-back Iestyn Hopkins are the only players retained from the side named for the Sharks opener.

Edwards and Hardy start together

Dan Edwards comes in at fly-half alongside Kieran Hardy, replacing the starting combination of Lawson Creighton and Luke Davies. Keiran Williams and Evardi Boshoff form the midfield pairing. There is a completely changed front five: Gareth Thomas, Efan Daniel and Rhys Henry pack down in front of Huw Sutton and Ryan Smith. Harri Deaves and Morgan Morse join Wright in the back row.
