Price leads PDC form guide as Clayton tops doubles accuracy

Gerwyn Price leads the PDC’s latest form guide for scoring average and its model of finishing efficiency, while Jonny Clayton ranks first for doubles accuracy. The analysis covers each player’s last 200 legs, not the official prize-money Order of Merit.

A narrow advantage over Littler

PDC analyst Christopher Kempf puts Price just under one average point ahead of Luke Littler. The separate finishing-efficiency model gives Price an advantage equivalent to only one extra leg per 300 against ProTour opposition. That is a small gap, not a prediction of the next match.

Why Clayton’s doubles matter

Clayton has hit 46% of doubles overall and more than half of attempts at double 16 in the sample, according to the PDC. Those figures are relevant before the World Grand Prix’s double-start format, where players must hit a double to begin scoring as well as to finish a leg.

What the figures measure

Ordinal Checkout Efficiency estimates the share of legs a player would win against ProTour opponents using weighted checkout rates. It is distinct from the actual percentage of darts that hit a double. The two Welsh players lead different measures; neither figure guarantees a tournament result.
