Trefelin finish the job at Cyncoed

Brock converted an eighth-minute penalty before Jones headed in Lewys Ware’s cross on the half-hour. Hooper reduced the deficit, but substitute Piper restored the two-goal margin after meeting Declan Horgan’s cutback. Met thought a second goal had arrived in stoppage time when Joel Edwards finished from close range. A VAR check ruled it out for offside. Trefelin’s three goals stood, securing the club’s first win at this level.

Saints hold their lead, Airbus find a hat-trick

Holywell were level with The New Saints at half-time after Danny Sullivan cancelled out Brad Young’s penalty. Five second-half goals turned that contest into a 6–1 away win, with Rhys Hughes, Josh Lock, Jack Bodenham, Ben Clark and Jordan Williams scoring. The FAW reports that it was Saints’ 12th consecutive victory. Connah’s Quay Nomads remained second after overturning Briton Ferry Llansawel’s lead to win 2–1. Jordan Hodkin equalised and Max Woodcock scored the winner, extending Nomads’ winning run to five matches. Airbus UK Broughton also came from behind, beating Llandudno 4–1. George Peers scored three and Jordan Evans added a free-kick. Peers’ treble moved him to the top of the league’s scoring chart, according to the FAW.

The rest of the round

Ethan Cann scored twice in Penybont’s 3–1 home win over Barry Town United. James Lester had put Barry ahead before Cann equalised and Tyler Walker converted a penalty. Cann’s second goal secured Penybont’s fourth straight home victory. Caernarfon Town won 2–1 at Haverfordwest County through Sion Bradley’s late volley, after Ben Ahmun had cancelled out Zack Clarke’s penalty. Joe Case scored the only goal as Ammanford beat Cambrian United away, following Ammanford’s first win of the season in the previous round. Saturday’s sole fixture ended Flint Town United 0–1 Colwyn Bay. Sol Forde’s header took Bay up to fifth and gave Flint manager Danny Holmes his first defeat in charge.
