Wales take a one-goal advantage into Tuesday’s World Cup play-off second leg against Albania at Parc y Scarlets. The 13 October match kicks off at 7.15pm, with the tie still to be settled. Friday’s 1–0 win came from Lily Woodham’s 21st-minute corner, which went in off Albania’s Ezmiralda Franja. The FAW’s report describes a difficult evening, rather than a comfortable victory.

The chances that make the return important

Safia Middleton-Patel saved from Fortesa Berisha after the interval, and the Albanian forward hit the post with the rebound. Wales also left chances untaken: Hannah Cain fired wide after coming on, while Elise Hughes was twice denied late in the game. The first leg therefore supplies two tests for the return: limiting Albania’s openings and taking Wales’ own opportunities.

Getting into Parc y Scarlets

The FAW says gates open two hours before kick-off, which means 5.15pm. Free activities at The Barn are listed from 4pm to 6pm. Car Park B costs £5 per vehicle and operates first come, first served. A space is not guaranteed. Drivers are directed from M4 junction 48 onto the A4138. Use the Cymru Tickets app for entry unless you have specifically requested and paid for paper tickets. Llanelli railway station is a drive from the ground; the FAW says taxis are available outside it. Check the official supporter page before travelling for the full arrangements.
