Wales weather today: a bright start, showers by the afternoon

A dry and bright start to Tuesday, the Met Office says, turning cloudier as the day goes on. A few showers develop by the afternoon, though many places stay dry. Take a coat if you are out late, but this is not a day to change your plans for.

Highs of 20C in Cardiff, Newport and Wrexham, and 19C in Swansea. There are no weather warnings in force anywhere in Wales, and Natural Resources Wales has no flood warnings or alerts on its board.
