Contrasting starts

Wrexham has scored 33 goals and conceded seven across those six games. Its only defeat came against The New Saints on 4 October, when it lost 3-2 at home, before responding with the eight-goal display at Swansea. Cardiff Met has one win, two draws and three defeats from six matches, with seven goals scored and 16 conceded. Its most recent result was a 2-2 home draw with Barry Town United on 11 October, following a 7-1 defeat at Cardiff City the previous week. The comparison comes from the same FAW results list for both teams. It gives Wrexham the stronger start in wins and goals, while Met’s latest result brought a point after a heavy defeat.

Met’s return to the top flight

Wrexham’s club preview describes Cardiff Met as newly promoted after winning the Adran South and beating Connah’s Quay on penalties in the promotion play-off. That restored Met to the top flight at the first attempt after relegation in 2024/25. The club preview links to Wrexham’s women’s match ticket page.
