The A40 is closed in both directions between Raglan and the Abergavenny Hardwick roundabout, and Traffic Wales now lists the closure running to 14 September. A bridge closure sits at the centre of it, the local lanes are shut too, and signed diversions are in place.

What began as overnight carriageway works on Friday evening has hardened into a two-week closure, so anyone driving between Monmouth and Abergavenny should plan around it for the next fortnight rather than waiting for the morning reopening that is no longer coming. The A465 between Resolven and Aberdulais keeps its separate lane closure and speed restriction into late September.
