A role across formats
Glamorgan says Douthwaite appeared in its T20 Blast and One-Day Cup fixtures when fit this season, as well as making three County Championship appearances. The club describes him as a middle-order hitter and a bowler used in the powerplay and closing overs.
Continuity at Sophia Gardens
Douthwaite joined the county in 2019 after performances for Cardiff UCCE. In the announcement, he said he wanted to help Glamorgan pursue its ambition of becoming a top-eight county across all three formats. That is a target, rather than a statement of its current rankings.
What the deal confirms
The announcement secures his retention for the 2027 and 2028 campaigns. It does not disclose salary or other financial terms, and a new contract does not confirm selection for any particular match.
