Only the Bisley Stand was open for Dragons against Hartpury on 5 September

The Dragons play Hartpury University RFC, the Elior Champ side named on the club tickets page, at Rodney Parade, Newport, at 13:00 on Saturday 5 September. The fixtures board lists the match as a friendly. The BBC Welsh rugby pre-season guide gives the same ground and the same kick-off. The club says this is the third pre-season meeting, after Dragons won 45-12 at Hartpury Stadium in September 2025.
Only the Bisley Stand is open. The club says that is because of another major event at the stadium that day. General sale is 12 pounds for adults, 6 pounds for young adults aged 17 to 25 and for concessions aged 60 and over, and 1 pound for juniors under 16. Season members must claim a free seat, by logging into a club account or by calling 01633 670690.
The Dragons named this 15 on the club match page: Rhodri Jones, Sam Scarfe, Christian Coleman, Seb Davies, Barny Langton-Cryer, Shane Lewis-Hughes, Harry Beddall, Evan Minto, Morgan Lloyd, Jac Lloyd, Anzelo Tuitavuki, Fetuli Paea, Joe Westwood, David Richards and Huw Anderson. The bench of 15 includes Elliot Dee, Rhodri Williams, Cai Evans and Aneurin Owen.
After Saturday the Dragons go to Church Bank, Llandovery, to play the Scarlets at 19:00 on Friday 11 September, another friendly, then open the United Rugby Championship away to Benetton on Friday 25 September. The other Welsh friendlies this weekend are Coventry against the Ospreys on Friday at 19:30, then Exeter against the Scarlets and Worcester against Cardiff Rugby, both at 15:00 on Saturday.
