Somerset beat Glamorgan by an innings and 64 runs at the Cooper Associates County Ground, Taunton, finishing the Rothesay County Championship Division One match on Friday, a day early. Somerset made 441 all out from 109.1 overs. Glamorgan were bowled out for 194 from 59.2 and 183 from 59.0.
Glamorgan resumed on 30 for one and slipped to 65 for three when Craig Overton had Ben Kellaway caught at third slip for six. Asa Tribe went for 49 and Colin Ingram edged Overton behind to leave Glamorgan 81 for five, and lunch arrived at 111. Sean Dickson and Chris Cooke added 62 for the sixth wicket before Cooke pulled Overton to Josh Thomas on the boundary for 20. Dickson made 47, and 143 for six became 150 for nine.
Lewis Gregory took three for 68, Jack Leach three for 46 and Craig Overton three for 29. Mason Crane took four for 95 when Somerset batted, the most wickets by a Glamorgan bowler in the match. Tom Lammonby made 95 for Somerset, Archie Vaughan 68, Josh Thomas 59 and James Rew 52. Somerset won the toss and fielded. Ben Kellaway's 51 was the top Glamorgan score in the first innings.
