Free Newport launch for brain-injury peer-support hub

NeuroBuds will hold its launch at Rodney Parade on 30 September, with a free evening for people and families affected by acquired brain injuries.

A new peer-support hub for people and families affected by acquired brain injuries will launch in Newport with a free event at Rodney Parade on Wednesday 30 September. The organiser’s invitation lists short talks, opportunities to meet others and information about the support network.

When and where

The launch runs from 6pm to 9pm in the Bisley Suite at Rodney Parade, Rodney Road, Newport, NP19 0UU. Entry is free, but the organiser asks people to confirm attendance using the form on its event page.

What the hub is for

NeuroBuds describes the hub as a way for people affected by acquired brain injuries and their families to connect, share experiences and find peer support. The launch invitation also describes access to a network of professionals. The group already offers an online community and signposting to other organisations. Brain Injury Group’s directory describes its work towards an in-person Neuro Café in Newport. The launch gives people a chance to learn about that community locally.
