Seven Pembroke Dock clinics move to hospital from Monday

Patients affected by the temporary relocation will be told where to attend. The move is expected to last around six months.

Seven services holding clinics at Pembroke Dock Health Centre will temporarily move to South Pembrokeshire Hospital from Monday 28 September. Hywel Dda University Health Board expects the arrangement to last around six months.

Which appointments are affected

The affected services are sexual health, audiology, health visiting, diabetic eye screening, chronic pain, heart failure and hepatology. Patients whose appointments change location will be contacted. If unsure, check the appointment letter or contact the service named on it.

Why the clinics are moving

The Welsh Ambulance Service will use part of the health centre while Pembroke Dock Ambulance Station is refurbished. The hospital is around a mile away, according to the health board, and already hosts some of these services.

Have your say

The health board will collect views about travel, access and facilities before deciding whether the hospital could become a longer-term location. No permanent move has been confirmed. Paper survey copies will be available to patients at the relocated clinics; the announcement below links to online feedback information.
