Free Welsh and English CPR sessions: how to join on 1 October

Schools, families and workplaces can take part online, without specialist practice equipment.

People across Wales can join free online CPR and defibrillator-awareness sessions on Thursday 1 October. Restart A Heart Live is open to schools, workplaces, community groups, families and individuals, with sessions available in Welsh and English.

How to take part

Register through the Restart A Heart Live website, which has separate information for schools, communities and families. The Welsh Ambulance Service says participants can practise using a cushion, folded jacket or teddy bear, without specialist equipment.

If you cannot watch live

Sessions will run at different points during the day and are tailored to different age groups. Schools that cannot attend live can register for recordings. More than 400 Welsh schools have already signed up, according to the ambulance service.
