Ely expected to peak around 5am

It said river levels were expected to rise over the following six to eight hours and peak at around 5am on Sunday, with flooding to property expected and flooding of low-lying land and roads ongoing. At Peterston-super-Ely, NRW's update at 12.03am said river levels were rising and flooding to property was expected. At Talbot Green and Porth, levels were falling but impacts were ongoing. NRW said the heaviest rainfall had cleared all four areas.
Check the warning for your area
A flood warning means flooding is expected and people should act; an alert means flooding is possible and people should prepare. Check NRW's live service for the precise area and current advice, or call Floodline on 0345 988 1188. Do not treat a national total as confirmation that a particular property is affected.
