Costelow available for Dragons derby as Domachowski misses opening block

Sam Costelow is available for Scarlets’ visit to Dragons after completing his head injury protocols, the club has confirmed. But prop Corey Domachowski will miss the opening block of matches with a chest injury sustained against Saracens in pre-season.

- Opening block absence
- Corey Domachowski

Five players available for selection
Costelow is joined on the available list by prop Kemsley Mathias, centre Johnny Williams, flanker Dan Davis and fly-half Carwyn Leggatt-Jones. The update comes before Saturday’s United Rugby Championship second-round game at Rodney Parade.
Availability does not confirm a place in the starting side or on the replacements bench. The club’s statement, published on Wednesday 30 September, is a squad update rather than a team announcement.
No exact return date for Domachowski
Scarlets describe Domachowski’s absence as covering the opening block of matches. Their statement does not give an exact return date or say he will be out for a specified number of weeks.
Taine Plumtree and Fletcher Anderson are described as close to returning from injury, but neither is available this weekend. The next selection announcement will show how Scarlets use the players now back in contention.
