Gower puppets, coffee design and textiles put Swansea graduates on global shortlist

Three Swansea College of Art graduates have reached the Global Creative Graduate Showcase 2026 shortlist, with work ranging from a coffee machine to puppets made using materials from the Gower coast. UWTSD announced the selection on 12 October. Anna Lynch’s product-design project is Amara, a home coffee machine. Seren Trodden’s Design Crafts entry, Driftwood Puppets, uses driftwood, seabird feathers and other found materials. Sophie Drew’s textile project, Glowgrove: The Understory, is shortlisted in Fashion, Textiles and Accessories.

The entries are published on the showcase portal, where the creators are identified with Swansea College of Art at UWTSD. Trodden’s entry also links to a Craft_By_Seren film called Drift Wood Puppets; that film and all three portfolios are linked below. The university says the shortlist is being reviewed by an international judging panel. Shortlisting is a stage in the competition, rather than an announcement that any of the three has won.
