Ronald faces six to eight weeks out with hamstring injury

Ronald is expected to miss six to eight weeks with a hamstring injury, Swansea City head coach Vitor Matos has confirmed. The winger felt the problem after last weekend’s defeat by West Ham, when he had played at right-back. Swansea assessed him this week and expect a spell without him rather than an immediate return for Saturday’s trip to Queens Park Rangers.
Swansea availability
- Ronald
- Expected absence: 6–8 weeks
- Filip Lissah
- Available after suspension
- Josh Key and Cameron Burgess
- Unavailable for QPR
Lissah available, Key still out
Filip Lissah is available again after a one-match suspension. Stephen Eustaquio returned from injury as a substitute against West Ham. Josh Key has rejoined part of team training as he continues his own hamstring rehabilitation, but Matos says he will not be involved at QPR. Cameron Burgess also remains unavailable for the visit to west London.
An estimate, not a fixed return date
Matos’s six-to-eight-week assessment is the club’s current expectation for Ronald. Swansea have not given an exact comeback date or named a replacement in a confirmed starting XI. Key’s partial training return is separate from being cleared for this weekend’s squad. The club’s update leaves Ronald, Key and Burgess outside the available group for QPR.

Where this sits
A six-to-eight-week estimate for Ronald differs from a guaranteed comeback date.
Key’s partial training and Lissah’s completed suspension have different implications for this weekend: Key is still out and Lissah is available.
