Wales rugby league match against USA moves to Merthyr’s The Wern

The men’s international will be played on 17 October at 3pm. A proposed Wales A fixture has fallen through after the opponents withdrew.

Wales men will face USA at The Wern in Merthyr Tydfil on Saturday 17 October, Wales Rugby League has confirmed. Kick-off is at 3pm at the home of Merthyr RFC.

The governing body announced the venue change on 30 September. Supporters arranging travel should use The Wern as the match venue.

Wales A plans change

Wales Rugby League said the venue had been switched in recent weeks to accommodate a potential Wales A fixture. The planned opponents have since withdrawn. Another A-team game is being planned for later in the international window, with details still to be confirmed.

Tickets and squad

Tickets for the USA match are on sale through the link in Wales Rugby League’s announcement. Head coach Paul Berry is due to name a large training squad later this week. This fixture is rugby league, separate from Wales’ women’s rugby union programme.
