Price and Clayton reach World Grand Prix last 16
Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton both reached the World Grand Prix last 16 in Leicester on Monday 28 September. Price beat Sebastian Bialecki 2–0 in sets, while Clayton came through 2–1 against Krzysztof Ratajski. Price will play Ross Smith in the second round on Wednesday 30 September. Clayton will meet the winner of Wessel Nijman against Rob Cross, with that opponent still unconfirmed in the PDC tournament record.

A longer test on Wednesday
The opening round was played over the best of three sets. Price advanced without losing a set, while Clayton needed the full three to progress. The format extends to best of five sets in the last 16 and quarter-finals.
