Buses replace Machynlleth–Aberystwyth trains as bad weather forecast

Transport for Wales says trains between Machynlleth and Aberystwyth will be cancelled in both directions because of forecast severe weather on Sunday 27 September. The operator’s morning notice gives a disruption start time of 09:45 and says arrangements will continue until the end of the day.

TfW says the 20:48 replacement will meet passengers arriving at Machynlleth on the 18:06 Birmingham International service. Replacement buses cost no extra but take longer than trains. The notice gives an incident estimate of 20:10 while listing later replacement transport, so that time should not be treated as a confirmed reopening.
