Wrexham Women beat Cardiff 4-2 after hosts twice draw level

Wrexham Women beat Cardiff City Women 4-2 on Sunday 13 September, pulling clear in the second half after Cardiff had twice equalised at Cardiff City Stadium.

Cook opened the scoring for Wrexham after four minutes. Haile Richards replied from a corner with her first Cardiff goal, before Natasha Thomas restored Wrexham’s lead with a first-time finish.

Mackenzie Olden brought Cardiff level again four minutes later. She cut inside after a pass from Ffion Price and scored with a deflected shot, leaving the sides tied 2-2 at half-time.

Barker struck from outside the box within ten minutes of the restart to put Wrexham ahead for the third time. Sadler then finished a counterattack to secure the visitors’ fourth as Cardiff pushed for another equaliser.
