Twenty-four goals in three league games
It was Young’s first hat-trick since returning to the club. Rhys Hughes opened the scoring in the 14th minute and added a second, with Dynel Simeu, Isaac Jefferies, Jack Bodenham and Jordan Williams also on the scoresheet. The FAW counts 24 Saints goals in their last three league games. They have scored 53 and conceded six in 14 matches, the fewest goals against in the division and 13 more scored than anyone else. Ammanford are 14th on nine points.
Nomads keep up the chase
Callum West scored inside 25 seconds, his seventh goal of the season, as Connah’s Quay beat Llandudno 2-0. West then set up Harry Franklin for the second, and Max Woodcock had a goal ruled out for offside. Llandudno’s Jayden Lloyd was sent off shortly before half-time for a dangerous challenge. Llandudno are tenth after five straight league defeats. Third-placed Penybont, on 30 points, did not play: their trip to Holywell Town was postponed, leaving them a game in hand on the top two.
Flint out of the bottom three
Trefelin goalkeeper Scott Coughlin was sent off in the 57th minute for fouling Lassana Mendes in the box. Tunde Owolabi scored the penalty and later added a second. Flint have won three of their first four league games under Danny Holmes and move up to 13th on 11 points. Owolabi has four goals in five games in all competitions since Holmes arrived. Trefelin are 15th on six points, with Holywell bottom on two.
Peers reaches 14 and Haverfordwest win away
George Peers scored twice as Airbus UK Broughton won 3-2 at Cambrian United, taking him to 14 league goals, the most in the division. Kaiden Cooke added the third early in the second half. Jarrad Wright and Josh Beecher, with his first senior goal in Welsh football, scored for Cambrian. Airbus are seventh on 24 points after four wins in five. Haverfordwest County won away for the first time this season, 3-1 at Barry Town United. Rhys Abbruzzese, Corey Shephard and Ben Ahmun scored, with Noah Daley replying for Barry, whose Owen Cuddihy was sent off for a second yellow card for dissent. Caernarfon Town beat Briton Ferry Llansawel 3-1 through Sion Bradley and two from Harry Charsley, with Luke Bowen replying in stoppage time after a VAR check. Caernarfon are fourth on 29 points; Ferry are 12th on 12. Ten-man Colwyn Bay drew 2-2 with Cardiff Met after Ryan Astles was sent off before half-time, his yellow card upgraded to red by VAR for denying a clear goalscoring chance. Sam Snaith and Jasper Payne, with his eighth league goal of the season, scored for Met; Sam Hart and a Snaith own goal earned Bay their point. Met are the first visiting side to take league points from Colwyn Bay this season.
