Goesch and Bartlett finish first at IRONMAN Wales in Tenby

Provisional results put Henrik Goesch ahead of Michiel Stockman, while Nikki Bartlett finishes ahead of Diede Diederiks.

Henrik Goesch and Nikki Bartlett finished first in the professional men’s and women’s races at IRONMAN Wales in Tenby on Sunday 13 September, according to provisional Sportstats results.

Finland’s Goesch recorded 8 hours 31 minutes 31 seconds, with Belgium’s Michiel Stockman second and the Netherlands’ Mitch Wismans third. His winning margin over Stockman was about 2 minutes 17 seconds, calculated from the timing feed.

Britain’s Bartlett finished in 9 hours 45 minutes 37 seconds. Diede Diederiks of the Netherlands was second, about 21 minutes 38 seconds behind on the same calculation.

The event’s organiser-supplied listing describes a 3.8km sea swim, a 180km bike course and a 42.2km run. The course starts at Tenby’s North Beach, with the bike route taking competitors through Pembrokeshire before the run returns to town.
