Swedish-style café to open in Llay on 19 September

A volunteer-run café is due to open at St Martin’s Church Hall in Llay on Saturday 19 September, with weekly sessions from 9am to noon.
Bread of Heaven will use the refurbished hall for a Swedish-style café serving cinnamon buns, cakes, pastries and fairtrade coffee, according to the Church in Wales announcement.
Vicar Tracey Byrne says the cinnamon buns and Swedish chocolate balls will be handmade, using local and fairtrade ingredients wherever possible.
Byrne and members of the congregation have worked on the hall’s transformation with grant support. The church’s directory lists St Martin’s at Market Square, Llay, Wrexham, LL12 0SA; the opening announcement names the church hall as the venue.
