Transport for Wales has cancelled the first Monday train from Machynlleth to Aberystwyth because of a shortage of train managers. The 04:41 service will not run.

The first train from Aberystwyth is also affected

The 05:17 from Aberystwyth to Birmingham International will start at Machynlleth instead, so it will not serve Aberystwyth, Borth, Dovey Junction or the western end of the route.

The next available services

TfW advises passengers to use the next departures. The next train from Machynlleth is scheduled for 06:09 and the next from Aberystwyth for 06:17. Passengers should check the live departure board before leaving because the times remain subject to operational change.

Refunds and Delay Repay

Passengers who arrive at least 15 minutes late may be eligible for Delay Repay. Anyone who decides not to travel because of the cancellation can seek a fee-free refund for an unused ticket from the retailer that sold it.
