Neath Port Talbot opens £575,000-a-year community grant fund
Community organisations in Neath Port Talbot can apply from today for a share of £575,000 a year. The revised Third Sector Grant Scheme offers initial three-year awards, with expressions of interest closing on 15 October.

Who qualifies
Applicants must be constituted not-for-profit organisations operating for at least two years, with one year of filed accounts. They must be based in, or run services from, Neath Port Talbot. At least 90% of beneficiaries must live, work, study in or visit the borough.
How much is available
Awards are capped at £50,000 a year and 30% of average annual income over the latest three years, or two for newer organisations. Funding supports running costs, with limited capital and innovation spending. Eligibility does not guarantee an award.
The next steps
Selected applicants will be invited to apply in full between 23 October and 20 November. Decisions are due by 31 December. A possible two-year extension is conditional; organisations should plan around three years. The council’s scheme page links the forms and guidance.
