Buses replace two early Cambrian trains on Wednesday

Two early Cambrian services will be replaced by road transport on Wednesday 21 October because more trains than usual need repairs, Transport for Wales says. The affected departures are the 06:48 Welshpool to Aberystwyth and the 08:27 Aberystwyth to Shrewsbury. TfW says Lloyds will provide the replacement transport.

Allow extra time
The operator has arranged buses between Welshpool and Aberystwyth at no extra cost. Its wider notice warns of cancellations in both directions between Shrewsbury and Aberystwyth, so passengers should check the particular journey before travelling. TfW expects the incident to last until 08:30, with service disruption forecast from 06:45 until 10:00. Those times are forecasts, rather than a confirmed return to normal. The road-transport arrangements apply to services leaving before 08:30, and buses will take longer than trains. Passengers can find replacement-bus calling points on station posters or TfW’s station pages. Check the operator’s live map or journey planner for changes before setting out.
