Xplore trials weekday visits in Wrexham: call ahead for off-peak entry

Families planning a weekday visit to Xplore in Wrexham need to phone before travelling under a flexible-opening trial that began on 28 September. The trial runs until the October half-term holidays, according to the centre’s announcement published by Wrexham Council. The centre’s ticket page lists off-peak single admission at £8.40, including a 10% charitable donation. Under-threes and registered carers are listed as free. What the cheaper ticket includes

Off-peak entry covers the interactive exhibits. The centre says there is no public show and visitors may share the space with school groups. This differs from its General Admission event, which includes a live science show and the Planetarium. Planetarium sessions are allocated first come, first served on the day. Do not assume an off-peak ticket includes those sessions. The ticket page advertises off-peak visits Monday to Friday, while the homepage labels Monday to Thursday as flexible opening and Friday to Sunday as regular hours. What has changed at the centre
