Cardiff Bay trains cancelled on 12 September after breakdown

Trains between Cardiff Bay and Cardiff Queen Street are cancelled in both directions after a train broke down on the line, Transport for Wales says. The operator expects the disruption to continue until the end of Saturday 12 September.

TfW says affected passengers can use their train tickets on Cardiff Bus routes 6 and 8 at no extra cost to complete their journey.

Check TfW’s live map and service updates before setting off. The end-of-day estimate does not confirm when trains will resume, so passengers should check again before making a later journey.

If you decide not to travel because of this disruption and your ticket is unused, TfW says you can get a fee-free refund from the retailer that sold it to you.
