Carmarthen station users have until 12 October to shape access improvements

Passengers using Carmarthen railway station have until 12 October to tell Transport for Wales what would improve access and connections between trains and buses. The consultation opened on 21 September and remains listed on TfW’s open-surveys page. It seeks views from residents, commuters and visitors about the experience of using the station.

What the feedback will inform

TfW says the responses will help identify ways to make connections between different forms of transport easier, safer and more convenient. The work covers the passenger experience, bus and rail integration, and access for all station users. The station connects rail services with TrawsCymru coaches. TfW’s announcement also points to the planned north-south coach link with Bangor as a reason to consider how the interchange works.

Use the Carmarthen station survey on TfW’s Have Your Say website before the 12 October deadline. The in-person drop-in advertised for 24 September has already passed. This is a consultation on priorities. The announcement does not give a construction start date or a budget for an agreed improvement scheme.
