Ninian Park-Radyr cancellation alert removed from TfW updates

Update, 15 September: the Ninian Park-Radyr alert was no longer listed on TfW’s live service-status page when checked shortly after midday. Its removal does not confirm a reopening time. Check the operator’s journey information before travelling. The report below records the earlier advice.
Earlier on 15 September, TfW said trains between Ninian Park and Radyr were cancelled in both directions because of a signalling fault, with Transport for Wales expecting disruption until the end of 15 September.
Passengers can use Cardiff Bus routes 1, 1A, 2, 2A, 61, 62 and 63 between Radyr and Cardiff at no extra cost until the end of the day.
TfW Pay As You Go cannot be used on local buses. Passengers using it are advised to tap out at the earliest opportunity.
Bluebirds replacement road transport is running between Radyr and Cardiff Central via Ninian Park in both directions, also at no extra cost. Allow extra time because road journeys take longer.
Check station posters for replacement calling points and TfW’s live information before travelling. The end-of-day estimate is not a confirmed reopening time.
Passengers who decide not to travel because of this disruption can obtain a fee-free refund from their original retailer if their ticket is unused.
