Crew shortages strand west Wales: no trains to Milford Haven or Fishguard today

Anyone travelling west by train today is mostly travelling by bus. Transport for Wales has cancelled services between Swansea and Milford Haven in both directions for the rest of the day, and between Carmarthen and Fishguard Harbour until 23:30, with crew shortages given as the cause in both cases. Services between Swansea and Carmarthen are shortened or cancelled until 20:27 for the same reason.
The pattern runs to the north as well: every Llandudno Junction to Blaenau Ffestiniog service is cancelled for the day, again through staff shortage, with Carmel Travel running replacements. Daves Coaches, Davies and Francis cover the western routes. Delay Repay applies to anyone arriving more than 15 minutes late, and unused tickets can be refunded fee-free.

A suspected landslip between Abergavenny and Hereford has trains running at reduced speed with delays of up to 20 minutes, expected to clear by mid-afternoon. Stagecoach services X24 and 23 are accepting rail tickets on that stretch, and CrossCountry and Northern are taking TfW passengers on alternative routes.
